Construction projects are constantly dealing with 'unknowns' and 'situations over which we have no control'. However, we will increase the chances of achieving our goals by good planning. All details should be thought through in advance and a complete written plan should be agreed upon by all parties before the project begins. Specialty Craftsmen planning includes: Site visit to measure space and discuss needs, goals and constraints Draft drawings exploring several layouts Discussion and feedback on the designs More detailed drawings of preferred layout Incorporating appliances into design Proposed lighting / electrical plan As many meetings, phone calls, emails as necessary to discuss and adjust drawings until the customer is completely satisfied with the functional part of the plan. Discussion of possible materials with customer (cabinets, counters, fixtures, etc.) to understand quality levels and costs. Prepare material specification list to allow accurate price comparison. Draft labor specification sheet to enable pricing of labor part of project. Confirm all dimensions , prepare final drawings. Prepare installation drawings with notes relevant to the installation. ...... whatever time is required ........ Design Consultation: General design consultation available on an hourly basis.
